Rachel Kan Manchi (Chinese: 陳敏之; born 15 September 1979) is a Hong Kong actress and singer currently managed by Shaw Brothers.

Career

Kan was a former artiste and singer with TVB. She joined TVB after winning a singing competition in 1994 and released two albums under the label, Cantopop Hit Singles (1995) and Love is...? (1996) respectively. In 1998, Kan officially made her acting debut in the television series Armed Reaction IV. She is best known for her roles as Yiu Hoyee in Moonlight Resonance (2008), Lai Foon in The Gem of Life (2010), Lei Siusze in Ghetto Justice (2011) and Fong Kayan in Storm in a Cocoon (2014).

In 2008, Kan won the TVB Anniversary Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Moonlight Resonance. In 2010, she won the My AOD Favourite My Drama Character Awards for her roles in The Gem of Life and In the Chamber of Bliss. In 2014, she won the 2014 TVB Star Awards Malaysia for My Favourite TVB Supporting Actress for her role in Storm in a Cocoon.

In 2015, Kan left TVB and joined Shaw Brothers. She is set to star in the upcoming television series Royal Sister, which is scheduled to air in 2017.

Personal life

Kan married Alex Lau on 12 December 2014. On 16 August 2016, she gave birth to a baby boy.
